Education

With hundreds of thousands of school-age children in Queens, investing in our schools is one of Borough President Richards’ top priorities. Since taking office, he has allocated more than $144 million in capital funding across hundreds of Queens’ public schools and universities, supporting critical projects like new STEM and hydroponics labs, new playgrounds, new programming, facility upgrades and more.

The Queens Borough President’s Office also hosts frequent virtual Parent Advisory Board meetings where parents can hear presentations from, and ask questions of, city and state education officials. Stay tuned for information on future meetings by clicking here.
